PACE AMR Research Consortium

PACE

AMR research consortium

Positioning the UK at the forefront of AMR research

PACE was created to unite government, academia and industry around a £30m programme tackling antimicrobial resistance (AMR), a complex and urgent global health challenge. The partnership required a clear, credible narrative to align diverse stakeholders and articulate its value to policymakers, funders and the life sciences sector.

As Communications & Engagement Lead, I worked closely with internal teams and external partners to develop the PACE brand narrative from the ground up. This included shaping the core story, defining messaging pillars and translating complex science into accessible language.

I led the launch communications plan, aligning targeted stakeholder engagement, proactive media relations and placed thought leadership to position PACE as a nationally significant initiative.

Beyond launch, I developed a communications strategy, mapping key milestones, identifying opportunities in the external landscape and preparing programme spokespersons to support sustained visibility and influence.

IMPACT

PACE launched with strong national visibility and stakeholder engagement, establishing a clear identity and positioning the consortium as a coordinated UK response to antimicrobial resistance.
